Jacqueline Bonisteel, Associate, Perley-Robertson Hill and McDougall
A former student of our Kiwanis Key Club at Sir Robert Borden High School, Jacqueline joined the Immigration Law Group at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP/s.r.l. in 2012, following her successful summer and articling terms with the firm. She completed the Joint M.A./J.D. program at Carleton University’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in Common Law.
Jacqueline is the recipient of a number of awards and scholarships, including the International Commission of Jurists Associate Award, and the Osgoode Society Prize for Canadian Legal History, awarded to the top ten students in the graduating class of the University of Ottawa’s Common Law English Program. During her legal studies, Jacqueline conducted research for the Refugee Forum, completed a fellowship with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada. She was awarded the Clarey B. Sproule Award for her contributions as a clinic worker at South Ottawa Community Legal Services.
